As we deal with COVID-19 outbreak, many of us on Bainbridge Island are wondering where we might go for help or where we can volunteer in our community. Listen here to Loren Bast, Executive Director of Bainbridge Prepares discuss how his organization is responding to the current COVID-19 crisis.

Loren shares with us how Bainbridge Prepares joined Recovers.org, a non-profit organization in helping communities deal with disaster preparedness. They offer a platform that enables easy access for community members to see resources and regularly updated news from businesses and services on Bainbridge Island.

In this podcast, Loren tells us about a fabulous collaboration between Bainbridge Prepares and the BARN Fiber Arts Studio. The group,”BI Mask Makers”, is making protective masks and gowns to distribute to our health care workers. Tune in to learn more.
