Did you know that the stories we tell ourselves can keep us trapped?

In Lyssa Danehy deHart’s new book, StoryJacking: change your internal dialogue, transform your life, she draws on her many years as a professional counselor, life coach and therapist to show us, not only how the stories we tell ourselves may be trapping us but how we can set ourselves free with greater self-awareness.

In this podcast, Lyssa talks with BCB host, Channie Peters about what the term, “StoryJacking” means, and how she came to write this book.

“StoryJacking,” says Lyssa, “is about learning to grow yourself as a person of self-mastery by exploring your relationship to the stories that you tell yourself.” It is her hope that reading her book will lead to greater courage for self-discovery, and will encourage people to begin making choices from a place of self-knowledge rather than a place of fear.

Lyssa will be talking more about StoryJacking at Eagle Harbor bookstore on Thursday, September 14th at 6:30 pm; don’t miss it!
